Thread: Unibe's gpa req is now a 3.0

I called the admissions office today, the one located in miami and in dr and i was told that for the new coming year meaning the jan, may and sept of 2010' the gpa requirement is a 3.0!!!

I wanted to apply for may term but it seems im going to have to take some extra courses here in the states to go from a 2.87 to a 3.0...

3.0 is fair, it'll make the program even more competitive.

Also For those of you who will be coming in with a bachelors starting next year, not sure which semester it is going to start being implemented, the MCAT's will be a requirement for all new applicants into the Medical school.

Keep an eye out for this one, My sources tell me it's almost a reality.

i applied for january 2010 with 3.0 gpa ( didnt know thay was the new minimum gpa required) and got denied admission so am taking clases to apply in August 2010. Anyone know what GPa is considered competative with this new 3.0 gpa minimum requirement in Unibe !?

hey all, i would just like to ask what courses are transferable because i am planning to resume to the pre-med program this September 2010 semester. currently my GPA is 4.0. I have done at least a reasonable number of the pre-med courses which sum up to be 24 credits, at the end of this spring semester my gpa might drop to a 3.5 due to the weight of the courses i am taking. I would like to find out my acceptance possibility.

This is actually false. I called the office today. They say "you can apply with a 3.0 gpa" which upon further clarification, means that they recommend their medical applicants to have a 3.0 gpa but it is not required. The Letters of Recommendation however, cannot be more than 6 months old. Which is ridiculous.

Mine is 2.66 i guess that there is not a chance for me
