Hi, I recently moved to the D.R. just long enough to have completed my first trimester at INTEC, now I'm starting to think I should've gone to UNIBE. I had no problems with Intec, I actually really liked it, but I'm starting to question the curriculum and facilities compared with Unibe. The reasons why I first chose Intec over Unibe where financial ones, but I've now figured out that I have alot more financial support from my family than I thought and tuition for Unibe would be possible. Since it's only been 1 semester, I'm still on time to transfer without losing much.

Has anyone else transfered from INTEC to Unibe?
Have you had luck transfering your credits?
I'd appreciate your opinions...

I'm currently in INTEC, but the only thing that bothers me is that they don't mention nothing about the USMLE or at least emphasize about it like Unibe does. In the positive side INTEC professors are really committed to what they teach, and have sort of a crazy passion over what they teach. Something I don't see often in the US, at least where I was taught. Most of the professors there also try to bring the best out of you, and expect the best out of you. Something that I didn't see either in the US.

I agree, I have no complaints about INTEC or the professors, but I do feel less "geared" towards preparing to return back to the U.S. and there aren't almost any students who even plan on doing so. That's one of the main reasons I'm considering Unibe. Because atleast you hear the USMLEs being mentioned and I heard even the possibility of clinicals back in the US.

Yeah, most of the medical students in INTEC don't plan on returning or are plan to practice outside the Dom. Rep. Go for it .
