Yes i know of these two guys and they scored 99 and 93 respectively. Yes they did take Dr ******'s course (for about ~20 days [fact]). All he did was tell both of them how "stupid" they were and they didn't know anything and how he was going to make them "smart". Later when they took their USMLE and scored BIG without any help from Dr ******. Dr ****** used their names without their permission (I WAS THERE) to promote his business. Stay away from this guy he is all promises and no show. He lies a lot to make business (I've personally seen him and his son lie on too many occasions).

And for all the haters (& Dr Holbrook) yes i have taken much (70-80%) of Dr ******'s Course and Kaplan, for Step 1 Dr ****** is a Waste of time, in general he's OK, as a supplement to class if you are too lazy to read the book.

Ohh... and i forgot to mention Dr ******'s English accent sounds like putting a british man into a filled fish tank and listening through a stethoscope from the outside.

Any additional information please contact me before you blow $1500+ bucks like i did only to later realize it was a waste of money and time.

LOL.. man, you made me laugh!

But in all reality, his English isn't that bad. Have you actually heard some of these teachers over at UNIBE? They can't be worse than ******. They sound worse than Charlie Brown's teacher in a fish tank and no stethoscope. Funny thing is they think they're speaking English; it might as well be Japanese because you're not going to understand crrap. The majority of them don't care either way.

It's not laziness. I read books, but we're not all like you. You need to supplement your reading with good teaching. Medicine is not supposed to be easy. Dr. ****** has helped me get better grades for my classes, and is the best "teacher" I have had here BY FAR. I haven't taken my steps yet, but all I really understand in medicine so far I owe to him.

... and I am NOT part of his staff unlike some posters

Well, I congratulate you on your scores, but let's be honest. YOU made the scores happen. The school does not prep you in any shape or form for the exams.

Half the class sits around cheating and reading off old exams to pass classes. What can they be possibly learning? If you put in the effort, then you will succeed.

study, study, study...

Cheating?? Never. Aren't we all preparing ourselves to be responsibile, competent, professionals??

Seriously though, there is a lot of cheating going on sometimes, isn't there? It's an actual art form. Don't know who's to blame - students, teachers, the system...

Don't want to get off topic however, I do agree with the previous post, how well you do on the USMLE depends on you and your study habits and efforts. The school gives you the degree which allows you to take the test, you have to supplement that with a lot of hard work.
