A small correction-students who are permanent residents of USA, can avail federal aid in the dom. rep. and also any where in the world, if the school is certified by the dept. of education.
But the only problem with LCME accrediation is the fact they do not accredit foreign schools, only U.S. schools. If they have changed the policy in the last year please let me have the reference to update and thank you.

Talked with a student who has European citizenship and a U.S. Green card and is doing the Stafford Loan Program at Unibe so the rules may have changed. Am trying to research for a positive answer that can be transmitted to those who need to know.
