This topic is for those of you who attended UNIBE and have come back to the United States and found residency or anybody else who may have some input. I was wondering how long it took you to find residency when you came back to the United States. I want to go but I am afraid I won't be able to find residency. Thank you very much for your help!

Let me just say that there are over 400 former students from Unibe in various stages of Residency; some even have thriving private practices. And there is probably an equal number who did not make it either. The key to getting a residency is to be QUALIFIED.
It is not so much WHERE you went to school but what are your QUALIFICATIONS.
Have a respectable GPA, do well on the USMLE and you will get invited to an interview where it is up to you to sell yourself to the program director.
One has to be focused and willing to put in a great deal of study time.
