Hey, I'm glad you did so well, congradulations, and on your appointment too. I am a current student and would like to know roughly about how many of your classmates had scores in the 90's (and how many didn't) and what kind of strategies you guys used to do so well... I was planning on memorizing the BRS series, but if you have a better idea let me know!

memorize BRS???

Not sure if anyone has told you have understanding (correlation and intergration) are much different that memorization.

A word of advice: learn, understand, know, breath, live "the why"....

As an UNIBE graduate myself, I fully agree with all AMS has stated. If you're planning to go to UNIBE, I do recommend it and my biggest advice to all who are planning to attend is: start studying for the bords from the very begining!!!!! You will enjoy your time there and make great friends.

You want to make sure you will do good on the boards? 1- Waste 3 years trying to get into a US school(which you wont) or try a foreign school like UNIBE or any other that will give you the knowledge and practice necessary to make a change in someone's life, and study on your own for the USMLE'S. That's it. Yes I did graduate from UNIBE, where most of my classmates have scores in the high 90's. I got 80 and 84. Will that make my paycheck bigger after residency? Think about it.
True that.

passing classes with "your eyes closed" is not a realistic statement. the classes contain actual content and a lot of it and you must retain enough to pass exams. classical anatomy was far from a "walk in the park". as were the other subjects.
they do not specifically teach to pass usmle because they prepare graduates to become licensed in the DR.

One this i must say like what was said before you come to this school to learn medicine last time i checked there was no special medicine for the US unless there is and I am some kind of idiot student at UNIBE that doesnt know about it. Fine you do have ur distractions but its your choice to either study for your microbiology test or to go to the beach and get completely wasted for your birthday weekend and not care. All some people do on this board is b***h about how UNIBE doesnt prepare you for the boards but i mean WHAT YOU PUT IN IS WHAT YOU GET OUT OF IT! I understand that you werent bashing unibe but i really think its unfair that everyone says they dont prepare you, its not thier responsibility its YOUR responsibility to prepare yourself for an exam that YOU NEED TO TAKE i started studying med 1 a little by little and now i am reviewing I CHOSE not to go out to the beaches, i CHOSE not to go out to the clubs, i CHOSE to stay at home and study, i CHOSE not to hang out and live my life to the max with DR's finest, notice how i said chose just like everyone needs to choose its your responsibility to study for your step 1 it doesnt matter where you are at the end of the day its your knowledge and integrity that matters. if one decides to come here dont complain booohooo they dont prepare me.... study on your own you can attend a kaplan course but does that mean your gonna pass step 1? no you get what you put in....
