Thread: About Ireland and the UK, where on ValueMD do we go to post?

YO. I guess Ireland and the UK aren't considered Eastern European and certainly no where near Russia, so where on ValueMD do we go to talk about those schools?

I guess the ValueMD moderators figured that the UK and Irish schools are in a class too far above other international schools so that there is no need to be a forum on here for such quality educational establishments.

The focus tends to be on schools outside of the US which cater to US citizens. Schools in the UK and Ireland tend to take people from the respective countries. Please register your complaint with Doc. The other moderators have no control over which schools have fora etc. G

Not necessarily anymore. Ireland is starting to heavily recruit Canada and the East Coast. Their government-subsidized places for their domestic students don't even pay to maintain the educational levels at their public institutions. So what do they do? They've been getting full-paying international students. It offsets the cost of education for many in Ireland. There is even a recruiting agency called the Atlantic Bridge in the US that all the Irish schools use! There are American students in the UK too. It is harder to get in, but there have been some inroads in the last few years. You can read more about this stuff on the SDN forums.

Look at the number of visitors to the Euro forums over at SDN. It shows that there are, indeed , many people who are interested in finding info about those schools. So, let's please get the ValueMD mods with the program here and add a place to talk about those schools. Please! Or hell with it, just rename the Eastern European Forum to European Forum to be more inclusive of these schools! Maybe we'd get some of the traffic over to this site for such talk. I'd contact Doc, but I don't know how. Hopefully, he reads this thread.

I'd be interested in a Europe forum too. (I'd really like to hear from NA students in Germany, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands etc.)
