a chance in irish schools? canadian student!!

    Advertisements

    hi.

when i filled out the application on atlantic bridge last week, i got an email saying i can still apply for the 2010 entry.

my mcat scores were 8/9/10R for verbal/bio/phys.

    i also have a masters.

do you guys think i have a chance at all?

also, i noticed the instructions i got in the email do not make mention of interviews.

do irish schools not hold interviews?

can someone who is currently enrolled in an irish school tell me how hard it is to get in? my first choice is univeristy college dublin.

    thanks

I'm not at an Irish school, alas, but it is my understanding that at least some of them do grant interviews... if they are interested in you as an applicant. From what I understand, you are probably in the admissions wheelhouse, and the master's degree won't hurt.

    Good luck...

I think because we don't have many users here who have experience with Irish/UK programs. Try sending a msg to BrendaB_MD. I think she is attending an Irish school.

Good point, as always, Tipton. The bulk of the crew on VMD are Carib students... with a few of us oddballs in E-Eu and other places thrown in for fun.

RCSI and University of Limerick conduct interviews, the other schools do not.

Hey,I realize this is a bit late, but i am at NUIG in ireland, i didnt go though an interview process, some of the schools do have interviews though. My GPA was a bit higher than yours, i have no masters and i didnt write the MCAT, and i got in. I do know that a lot of the other canadians in my class had similar GPAs, and MCAT scores, so i would say that you have a fair chance
