How are majority of people paying for school?

Students cover tuition by either private loans or self funding. Fortunately the clinical semester is only $5800 and all students are able to pay per rotation as opposed to all tuition up front. This allows students to be able to pay for a rotation and work and save for the coming if necessary. Also, the clinical semester offers no breaks in between so once your clinical semester is confirmed you can begin your rotation the following Monday of receipt of payment.

Are there fees in addition to the $5800 tuition? If so, how much. I am planning to apply for maybe January 2013, but I need to start budgeting how much I need to save for then. Thanks!

TAU offers mal-practice insurance processing at a rate of $1200 a year. This expense again is annually so it will appear on your first semester invoice. There is also a $150 registration fee per semester. Outside of those fees, the students are required to attend the Getting Into Residency Workshop and it is a one-time fee of $500. a typical semester is $5800 + $150

Thanks for the quick reply. Is Atlanta the only place where the 5th semester is offered? Also, since I have already passed Step 1, how would the 5th semester work for me? Finally, can I complete all my rotations in Texas? Thanks!

You must apply and have your transcripts reviewed in order to receive accurate information on where you would be placed. Rotations are offered in Atlanta, Chicago, and DC.
