COMMITTEE TO EVALUATE MEDICAL SCHOOLS APPLICATIONS

An Accreditation Committee has been set up by Cabinet to evaluate applications for the establishment of offshore medical schools in Belize. The committee will be headed by Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Education, Marian McNab. Other committee members are CEO, Henry Anderson, President of the University of Belize, Dr. Corinth ***** and the President of the Belize Medical and Dental Association. Cabinet has also approved guidelines for implementation by medical schools operating in Belize, to ensure that they are compatible with established international standards and are in a position to deliver quality medical and clinical instruction. Cabinet believes that the adoption and implementation of the guidelines, will improve the credibility of all medical schools operating in Belize.

Oh yeah, like a country with no secondary education, illiteracy rate equal to 8th grade at best and they are going to evaluate a medical school.

What a joke. You are a fool if you think its anything mroe than a smoke screen and an exercise in stupidity run by back woods beureaucrats wanting to play President.

It has no merit, validity, or real effect. Having Tonka evaluate them would be mroe effective and everyone would get a little play truck.

Hoepfully it is not contingent on the ability of a school to pay their dues to the government. At least it looks good in paper.
