Next school to be approved?? No idea.

Next school to have a site visit from Cali, probably AUA.

I say probably SMU. SMU was rejected by CA in 2005? So I think SMU is going to apply for CA soon again. As for AUA, I think the school is only 5 years old and in order to be CA approved, you need to be at least 10 years old? I would be wrong though. But when AUA is ready to apply, I am sure its going to get it.

I didn't know about the 10 year rule. Then it probably will be SMU or MUA, depends on who applies first (most likely SMU due to it's disapproval status and the fact that they have the same owner). But don't expect approval till many years down the road, probably 4-5.

Yes, they have a minimum years in business requirement, in today's current environment I would not bet on anything sure for anyone.

Good luck to all though!

What does it matter unless you are a shareholder in these schools? The California approval isn't retroactive

It matters a great deal. Yes, it is retroactive. But, in the same token, many schools simply state they will approve any school as long as it is not part of any other state's "no" list. So, yes, it would still be retroactive in California. But, once it comes off Cali's black list, for many states, "it's a go".

If California spent as much time "protecting their citizens" as they did voting for their politicians, then they might not have one of the most miserable budgets in the country.

Of course, they are too busy 'protecting' their citizens - i.e. of course, I'm certain Sadaam Hussein Medical School which they approve of is state of the art. Makes perfect sense to me.

I'll ignore your tirade about California, but why do you think it will be retroactive??

I think SMU would definately be next, if they would get their act together and reapply. They've made the necessary changes, and they've been around for 12 years now.
