Liscencing Timetable

I have a situation and I was interested in some opinions. I'm scheduled to begin residency August 25th off cycle. I just got ECFMG certified a couple of weeks ago and I am currently still completing my liscensure paperwork. I'm still waiting on criminal background check. I was wondering how long it took you guys to get your liscence after you got all the paperwork in. If the usual IMG gets certified when they graduate at the end of May and they begin July 1 wouldn't that give you guys only a month to get your licsence approved? I was hired last week after a person they matched ended up not being able to come. I don't think they would terminate me if I wasn't licsenced on Aug 25th but of course I'm a little nervous. Any feedback would be appreciated.

it depends on the state you are trying to get licensed in...some states are easier than others....if all your paperworkis handled by your program, just make sure you get all the paperwork in to them and you should be ok.

It varies from state to state and how organized they get your paperwork. I heard from an acquaintance that Wisconsin is pretty fast, even after this guy failed Step 1 and Step 2 several times after several years of trying, he submitted his paperwork and 2 weeks later got his license, while in another state, they denied him, go figure.
