you CANNOT get a license your school was REJECTED by the state of Cali, until the state approves your school you cannot get licensed or do residency.

Additionally, even if your school is approved by Cali, it does not mean they will retroactively approve graduates.

If you fail at AUC, SGU, or Ross why not transfer to SMU, if you fail at SMU, why not try another SMU.

pat park (cali med board representative on vmd) has discussed this before and stated that you would have to complete all of your basic science AND clinical science regardless if they were green or not.

if people pass all steps it should not matter where you went to school especially from approved underdeveloped type schools in other countries geting approved..a US FMG who passed all steps and US clinicals or equiv should be granted licenses in any state in the USA IMO..the ego of the usa and esp calif is inflated and only thing to do is to keep challenging these med bds until they understand this...plenty of the USA educated med drs who are in the calif system need polishing up and some even not deserving the right to practice medicine...calif should revamp this hard nose approach already and let well educated med students who passed and jumped over all hurdles the right to practice in any state they wish.

Believe it or not, you are not the first one to say that, yet the California legislature is the one you need to convince, and it seems to me that all over these years they have not changed, won't change and the more it is brought up to their attention, the stricter they get just to rub it on your face. Remember, the practice of medicine is NOT A RIGHT, it is a PRIVILEGE and as such a State can do whatever it wants to make sure it protects that PRIVILEGE from what they perceive, and I repeat, THEY perceive, as unqualified medical schools. I find it rather hypocritical of you to say that the ego of the USA and the CALI. Med . Board is such that it should be kept challenged. If you find that the pride of the USA and American people in general is so high and bad, who is pointing a gun at your head and asking you to stay here?

On the point of keep challenging it, nothing wrong with that, but do not fool yourselves with the belief that practicing medicine is a G-d given right, nope, just a privilege and the CA board is very very well aware of that and they know how to use it for their advantage.
