fammed2002 is on a distinguished road
how state medical boards are dropping the ball

Our members don't see this ad.
the emergence of redi-clinics are the beginning of the destruction of
primary care as we know it.

they treat conditions but will eventually widen the scope to diabetes
and hypertension.

yet the medical boards are doing nothing to restrict or investigate these
situations. no physicians on site; available by phone is not really available.

fam med, peds, and int med doctors need to start taking action.
we put all these restrictions and safety measures in a medical clinic
and hospital but why arent the same principles being applied in these
clinics.

in va clinics in certain settings NPs and PAs see patients
and a MD comes days/weeks later and signs the chart.

try blaming someone closer to home like your very own AAFP and the idiots at the AMA:

this is just one of the many papers submitted by the minute clinics. notice halfway down that they are adhering to strict guidelines for retail clinics as set by the AAFP and your AMA that is condoning these clinics instead of putting the brakes on this nonsense
