Quick Licensing Question

Our members don't see this ad.
Hi,
I want to know whether, these greenbook/bluebook/nobook rotations will pose a problem for me in getting residency in a particular state or whether I will have problem practicing in these States AFTER I have completed my residency?

Because really, I don't want to limit my options in applying to residency programs because that state won't recognize my degree?

Thanks.

Being licensed to practice medicine by a state and getting a temporary license for residency are two different things. If you want to maximize the number of states you can be licensed in, make sure you do only Greenbook rotations. SGU and AUC are the only schools I know which only Green rotations. If you attend any of the other schools, you have to do your own research. My signature link has more information.

Thanks for the reply. I have already done one bluebook rotation so can't go back and fix that, but will be careful from now on...
Another question is... Is neonatology its own branch or under pediatric medicine? Because I wasn't able to find neonatology speciality on the americal medical association website. I know this is a completely off topic question...

You can go back and fix the bluebook rotation, you can just do the same rotation in a greenbook hospital even after you already graduated and that will count, of course you would have to pay extra for the rotation.

Excellent!
Does this mean that an elective in neonatal intensive care unit will be greenbook if the hospital has an ACGME accredited pediatrics residency?
