I believe the opening date is still on track.

I'm sure JP can shed some more light on this!

Hiring a Dean

Looks like SMU is attempting to hire staff for the Vet School:

Vet School

How will this program compare to that of St. George's and Ross Vet Program?

Mongo,

I'm not terribly familiar witht the other two programs.

I can tell you that we will be on a ten semester program, with each semester being 4 months. 7 semesters on GC, then three semesters at a U.S. or U.K. veterinary school for their clinical year.

The Cayman government is very excited about the school, and there will be many opportunities at the Ministry of Health & Agriculture's new abbatoir and research facilities in Lower Valley. We are submitting new papers (there was recently an election on Cayman, and we want to make sure the new Minister's signature is on everything) for our AVMA listing. This will allow grads to register with ECFVG and to sit for the NAVLE.

We will not be eligible for federal loans for at least five years, but private loans are available.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
