    outlook

This is the info straight from the SMU help desk.

Checking your smucayman.com email with Microsoft Outlook

If you prefer using Microsoft Outlook to read your mail, you can set it up to read both your smu.com and your smucayman.com email. You should have received a guide to setting up your smu.com account in Outlook. Here's how you set up your smucayman.com email as well:
Open Microsoft Outlook (which I will refer to as Outlook from here on out). I will assume that you have used it before or set up your smu.com email in Outlook, so that when it opens you will be brought to your Outlook inbox.
    1. Click 'Tools'
    2. Click 'E-Mail Accounts'
    3. Under E-mail, Click 'Add a new e-mail account', then click 'Next'
    4. Click 'POP3', then click 'Next'
    5. Under 'User Information', enter 'Your Name' as you would like for it to appear to others that receive your email. Then, in the 'E-mail Address:', enter your email address (which would be 'yourusername@smucayman.com' where 'yourusername' is the username you use to log into the SMU Online web portal).
    6. Under 'Server Information', for 'Incoming mail server (POP3):', enter 'armada.smucayman.com'.
    7. Under 'Server Information', for 'Outgoing mail server (POP3):', enter 'armada.smucayman.com'.
    8. Under 'Logon Information', for 'User Name:' enter your FULL user name for the web portal at http://smuonline.com -- this would be yourusername@smucayman.com
    9. Under 'Logon Information', for 'Password:' enter the password as you would enter it when you log onto the web portal at http://smuonline.com
    10. Click 'More Settings'
    11. Click the 'Outgoing Server' tab.
    12. Check 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'
    13. Check 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'
    14. Click 'OK' to exit the Internet E-mail Settings window
    15. You can click 'Test Account Settings to make sure you've entered everything correctly. If you get an error, make sure you've entered your usernames and passwords correctly. Remember that passwords are case-sensitive, so 'mypass' is different from 'Mypass'. Remember also that your username must include the '@smucayman.com' part of it. Once you're done with the test, click 'Close'.
    16. Click 'Next'
You will see a screen labeled 'E-mail Accounts' that now contains 'armada.smucayman.com'. You should also see your smucayman.com email account here if you have configured Outlook to check that account. Select the one you wish to use as default by clicking the name then clicking 'Set as Default'
