List of supplies...

I just posted this elsewhere but i figure a sticky is long-lasting so here's to that:

Things i've found useful:

Definitely a printer, LOTS of printer cartridges, printer paper is heavy so prob buy it on the island; pencils/pens, highlighters. Some binders or folders - whichever way works for you if you plan on printing out notes. Stapler, hole puncher...

I've added a checklist i got when i started school - obviously the items are per preference and also vary with regards to what will fit in your suitcase, and what would just be more practical to pick up on the island... but hope it helps.

I pretty much got most of my stuff for school. I was wondering if any one else had this problem. Im taking pretty much eveyrthing with me. The semester's supply of enough soap, shampoo, conditioner, school supplies...and other things (which weigh alot by the way). I feel like it would be cheaper to pay extra at the airport for the extra weight than to buy these items in the Cayman Islands. I could be wrong but I think im up to 3 suitcases and maybe thats a lot. Any suggestions??

I would suggest this...if you are planning on going back home from school for a weekend, bring less than a whole semester's worth of shampoo conditioner and soap, and bring whatever else you need back from home to school. I came to my senses and removed half of them from my luggage b/c I need to come back home mid-semester. By doing so, I saved up so much weight for the essentials like my 3-hole puncher and desk lamp.

BTW, I have 4 suitcases packed. 2 of them are clothes, one of those being all workout clothing and undergarments. The rest are my essential stuff like books, food, supplies, bedding and the like. I just know I'm going forget something by the time I arrive at the RH and start unpacking.

What to pack

Supposedly I was supposed to get a list of things to pack in my admissions packet (is that right) but unfortunately there is nothing of the sort in it. Hence I was just curious if anyone could type up whats on there if its not too long or provide a list of thing I need really quickly. Thanks all....

How often does the power go out? Is it worth bringing a (big) flashlight?
