So far every exam had things from prior exams and lots of neuro stuff that you can NOT find in the notes but yet he asks it anyway. Dr.He$$er knows his stuff but he must understand this is NOT neuro all over again this is psych. Today we started to learn about ethics, a week before classes end. I don't have a problem with neuro as long as his powerpoints have more then a picture without words.
Hate to break it to you, but Pysch entails most of Neuro (yup those stupid receptors too). Look at any USMLE style behavorial science (psych-related) question and you'll see what I mean.

Ethics is usually taught in one week at most med schools, so having a full week of ethics is on par.

Lightbulb Re: Intro to Psyc

I took Psyc last semester and all the tests were easy for me...

Why?? Because I put in the time and hard work...

In addition to reading Dr. H's notes, I used 2 other reference books, both of which are available in the library, which included=

High Yield Psyc
Study Guide to DSM IV

Whoever wrote this post, I would just like to say that if you are genuinely seeking advice because you are afraid of the final exam, then you need to speak to Dr. H about the exam...but quite frankly, this is a public forum, and should NOT be turned into a bashing forum...

I close by saying that I think that Dr. H is a brilliant man w/ a sharp intellect...you should be grateful that he reviews Neuro with you guys...how many other professors do you know that review class material from previous semesters??

dunny med girl you are really funny, hahahaha, anyways get to the point i never said his exams were hard, all i said was that Dr. H shud tell you ahead of the time that thigs are going to pulled from whatever he could get his hands on, and yeah neuro is part of the course i have no complains!! now shud i laugh again cuz u r si funny in saying that Dr. H is a brilliant man who cant answer a Q in class and if someone tries to make a point to him he yells at em just cuz Dr. H thinks that he is the only person on this earth who is right and everyone else is.... and yeah 79 is high avg but wen Dr. H himself says that there could have been multiple answers to a Q then its not the matter of understanding its the matter of opnion! now go study you guys have finals to take and yeah i have to study psych of course if you know what i mean! GL to all of you Dr. H's people

Oh no the exam might be cumultive!!!! Come on, it's psych. If you can't pass a psych cumultive exam then you really need to do some work. He makes the class a joke. Regardless you're going to need to know it all in the long run so might as well know it now. The boards aren't going to give you one part at a time. Everyone needs to quit their complaining and maybe actually learn something, or rethink what they're doing. Must be rough having a psych exam covering more than a month's worth of material.

?

Where is the moderator? I'm sorry but you guys are being ridiculous. I'm in Psych now as well. It should be common sense to everyone that while it may be easy for some, its harder for others. So stop saying the class is a joke, because no class here is a joke, and while it may have been easy for you at the time you took your class, lets see how easy it is on your step 1.

Summer
