re: 3rd term path and micro; neuro and physio

Hello all,

been trying to find information by searching, but coming up pretty empty.

I've got a few questions i'm hoping y'all might be able to help me with, and i thought students might be able to do a good job of it.......

Could you guys describe what is involved for the following courses?

1. Path I/Path II
2. Microbio and immuno
3. Physio - endocrine
4. Neuroscience

what I'm looking for is the kind of group work/lab work, class hours on a weekly basis. Are there multiple professors? are there TA's for the class?

I know I probably look like a troll or something, but I'm not trying to start any trouble, and I'm definitely not trying to get responses talking about how disgruntled someone is with physio. I just want details on the courses, and whats involved with them

hope everyone's doing well,

Megacolon

SMU...

Neuro prof is incredible, absolutely brilliant in neurosciece. He prepares you very well for the neuro section of the boards.

Micro consists of 2 teachers each of which takes on the subjects they know best on. Both professors are doctors (MD's) and are excellent. Micro in the past few semesters has been the strongest subject for many students on the boards.

The current Path professors (2) are from Harvard! [need I say more]
Very friendly, both have gotten their medical degrees from harvard and are emergency medical doctors in boston. They really know their stuff and present the info in a very simplistic way so you can understand and remember the material

All classes have tutors available to help you in. The school has a free "learning enhancement workshop" 1x per week per class but if you need private tutoring there are a few students who take on the task for a fee.

All in all you work hard, stay focused, balance your time right and you willl feel great pleasure passing through semesters and learning about the wonderful human body.

Best of luck !!
