Thread: new residence hall

I have read that you will have a new residence hall in Sept. 2005. How many students will be able to live there? Do you think this will solve the housing problem in Grand Cayman?
Also, how many students are coming to the school in Sept. and are the current facilities capable of handling all the new students, plus the current students and the new Vet school students?

I'll let Sebastian answer the question on the housing, but the vet school campus is completely seperate from the med. There is no mingling of funds, professors, or facilities. The only thing shared are the Residence Halls, which are a seperate entity.

is an option given to 3rd semester masters students to stay at the new rh as opposed to the old one?

In my opinion I think new Residence Hall won't be ready until Jan. 2006 if the progress is going to be like this.

The Residence Hall and Residence Suites will be used in this order:
1. first semesters students
2. transfer students
3. students staying only one semester on the island

Therefore, if you are already here, I suggest you look for your own housing. You were happy to have a place to stay when you arrive, the new September students will have the same option.
For the Residence Suites, We are working with September 05 as a goal. About 50 workers are there to complete the project.
