"The National Board of Medical Examiners provides a table to help you
estimate the Step 1 equivalent of your Basic Science Shelf score. For
example, a shelf score of 63 predicts a Step 1 score of 182. Keep in
mind
that the "95% confidence interval" of your shelf score is ± 6 points -
in
other words, if you took many Basic Science shelf exams, your scores
would
be expected to range from 6 points below to 6 points above your
reported
score.

the problem with the gene pool is that there are too many lifeguards.....and we have been offering swimmies
Woops my mistake.
Either way I am very excited with my score considering I had not taken pathology II, genetics or pharmacology at the time.
Thanks for clarifying the scores.
Does anyone else want to share their scores?

So you gotta be able to get mid 60's on your shelf scores in order to be pretty safe with taking step 1.
I did pretty good on the shelf, and it correlates with a safe passing score, but Im trying to get that 245 when its all said and done...
on that note....back to the books.
