Hi, I tried to look for this topic on this forum, 'cause I didn't want anybody to repeat their opinions, but I just couldn't find it.
So here is my question,

I'm thinking of bringing around $6000 cash this Fall. (For car, etc)
But how shall I bring this money?

Shall I bring it in the form of money orders or just plain cash...?
And if so, will the grand cayman tax me on $6000 that I'll be bringing?
Well, I guess I could just deposit $6000 into my cking account here in the states and debit the money at the ATMS there, but I'm afraid I will be charging with annoying ATM fees and I believe there is $700 limit per day to take the money out of the ATMS...
Any ideas?

I brought $5,000US with me on my last trip. Everything was perfectly fine. Just put it in an envelope and keep it with you. Guard it with your life.

Then you can change your money over when you get here.

another way is to bring it all in travelers checks, gettin an acct here and depositing it, that way there will be no prb in case you lose it, etc.

And yet another way . . .

Bring some cash with you to hold you over for a few days.

Setup an account here with Cayman National Bank.

Then have all your funds wired from your US account to the Cayman account.
