Any doctors out there, who have finished their residencies, care to reflect on their experiences with SMU and Caribbean med schools?

Does anyone actually know of anyone who is working in the UK from St Matthews or even in the States??
Im a resident in a competitive field from st. matthews. While I ultimately got where i wanted to go, this school still causes many headaches and limits your career. There are so many states we cant go to and so many places that look at the school as a joke. My advice, take an extra few years of improvements and go to a US school. If that doesnt work and you are set on medicine, even as it becomes a worse and worse career with all the changes, go to st. george or ross. if you cant get in there you must really suck and pick another career. In all seriousness, you dont want to work your *** off to find out you are still limited due to your school.

OK .. you say you are a "Resident in a competitive field" yet you feel limited by your SMU experience... well... SMU made you who you are
... you are not the only Resident from SMU in a "competitive" field...
you knew about which states you were excluded from...
its kinda late to have buyers remorse.... when you bought the best
thing you could afford at the time
I agree Knight, I did choose this school. But on the other hand, i never expected the Ca issue to turn into 15 states and getting worse. What annoys me about the school is they do nothing to help with the licensure issue. Other school have sued boards and backed their students, SMU just plays dumb. There is so much turnover at the school that their goals are very short term and they do not have much long term vision. If I were to do it again I would not go here.
what field and which program are you in Shawn if u dont mind me asking
I want to agree with you but what entities have more money to spend on court cases. A U.S. State or a caribbean medical school. SMU was already blacklisted by one state which led to other states black balling us. Imagine what the back lash will be if another state has a solid reason not to like us. That will certainly put a giant wrench in where we can do residency and practice.
