think hope is an interesting thing. Sometimes it’s borne out of desperation, sometimes out of chance. It’s every man’s intangible, the thing that only he can lose, the thing that no one takes from him. Anyone can find it, even if he has none, anyone can keep it, even if there is none left for others. But I think the truly remarkable thing about hope is that we can give it away. It’s infectious. It can’t be contained, when all else fails, hope remains.

My grammar and sentence structure can tell you all of that??? You really know your stuff....what can I say? Never mentioned that I was a writer nor an English major but perhaps you are correct. I am really surprised by the responses....either complete misinterpretations or disbelief.....the fact that my writing is substandard....well, I suppose you have insight into the way in which you are supposed to write if you graduated from an IVY....so I will not question your credentials.
Except that you are incorrect.....but believe as you see fit. Cheers |

Truthfully, the list is far greater than these states. I am applying right now and have gotten numerous rejections from programs where I far exceeded their requirements ie step by 15 pts on the 2 digit scale. When I called to ask why they all say its your school. These are states where we are "approved". To paraphrase one residency coordinator, the director said that your school is of questionable validity, despite your high scores, recs etc, we have many options to choose from, thank you for your interest. We are on a quickly sinking ship my friends...unless you want an uncompetitive residency, you are pretty much screwed Last edited by shawnm3; 10-10-2008 at 09:01 AM. |

Because the "chancellor" and VP have reassured us that everything is fine and dandy, right? They know what's going on, right? Isnt that why we paid them? Maybe we should join the discussion here and get an answer directly from the VP himself. St. Matthew's University, School of Medicine Official Forums :: View topic - Growing List of States SMU alum can't practice in? PS: My post was full of sarcasm. The administration at SMU is a joke. Good thing I'm graduated and in residency now, but I know come time for further fellowships I'll be screwed because of the unfortunate fact that my school is run by a Business board of directors that just want to make money rather than help out students. |

nothing special ....very easy specialty FP .....which is an excellent point b/c for FP it really doesn't make a difference. Interviews? my app isn't complete yet b/c I am waiting for CS scores. No offense to anyone but I am going to dc my post. Too personal and don't want everyone to know....b/c then things change and that was not my intention. Russian Joo I have read your posts since you were applying and then you were accepted to SGU. .....best of luck to you....

"hink hope is an interesting thing."
Hope is relative and proportional to the degree of desperation of an individual. Quote:
