that's what I was trying to say.... yep it does

for instance......... our insurance covers until the end of the month. So this last semester ended in the middle of august.... but the insurance is good until the 31st of August. Then you just renew it, to begin the next semester on Sept 1

But lets say if the semester started on sept 7. What would we have during sept 1- sept 6. The semester does not always start on the 1st.

Good question, coz insurance is all about loopholes. I filled a prescription in the US during a Christmas break and it was covered. But that was in Dec and we had just gotten out on the 12th.

that's a good question, and I'm not too sure how that works. Because for me its different. I insure my wife and 2 sons under my account, where I fax the forms to United and as soon as they get the paperwork, they start the coverage. So since the expiration is Aug 31, I fax them authorization to bill me for the new coverage starting Sept 1, so for myself and my wife/kids, we never have any gaps in coverage.

there should be a United "Official" at the orientation.... this would be a good question to bring up to them
