Maybe the mistake was that we "decided" to go to carib. school or we made the mistake of not studying hard enough so our GPA was not high enough for a U.S school... others may have made some other mistakes....
Everyone makes mistakes... after all, that's how one can tell the difference between a human and a robot...
someone told me one time that sometimes it's good to make mistakes... that way you can learn from them... if you don’t make mistakes then either you didn’t realize that you made a mistake or you don’t want to accept that you did... either way, you learn nothing...

lol, touché.

And moreover this is coming from a person who failed to get into a US school... wonder how you explain that. Just live life long enough and you'll make more mistakes, your kids will, and grandkids. I have friends who failed a class or two 1st and 2nd semester. So what? Coulda' been me. I hope nobody tries to ridicule or belittle you when you fail at something coz we all do.

Thomas Edison failed at so many inventions and now we use light-bulbs everyday. Colonel Sanders was a financial failure b4 he started Kentucy Fried Chicken. Oprah dropped out of college. George Bush was a C student. What they all have in common is the last laugh.

Hey AftenMD, keep your head up! Let this guy's laughter be the adrenaline that pushes you forward.

Yep, he was on the verge of suicide, can't remember if he had already written the note. He took a little gasoline fryer with him on the road and his last mission before dying was to fry chicken and sell it at gas stations. I think he was in his late 60's or early 70's. Little by little, his chicken was so good he kept getting more orders coz the chicken was selling out. Someone suggested he start his own restaurant. And today, there's a KFC on every corner.

General Sanders was definitely a role model for all of us .... you can do just about anything in life if you want it bad enough.... However, I hope it wont take me 40 years to get done with medschool!

that goes across the board for AMGs as well. whenever you feel down about how IMGs conduct themselves on anonymous forums..... stroll on over to the SDN forums for a real eye opener
