Thanks bunches for the congrat!!!
Honestly speaking my MCAT score wasn't anything spectacular. My overall GPA was a 3.2 and my science GPA was a 3.0. I had a lot of clinical experience and extracurricular activities as well as great LORs. I submitted my application in December (right before Christmas break) and I received the interview at the end of January. I know the time frame seems to be a little lengthy but keep in mind it was during holiday season, and they did explain to me that they were trying to finish up with May applications/applicants as well.
As for the interview it went well, at least in my opinion. The best advice I could give any applicant going into an interview is to truly be yourself and you’ll shine through. You can do a tremendous amount of research on the various interview questions you could be asked to ease your fears but you really never know everything is fair game. The common ones of course are why do you want to become a doctor, what can you contribute to the medical field, and why did you choose St. Matthews. Exactly one week after my interview I received the acceptance call.
So hopefully this helps you out! Good Luck!!!!!
