Thread: how to get involved in research

is there any way student in cayman or any carib school for that matter can get any research experience.

we could research why in the heck the wild chickens here decide to "cok-a-doodle-doo" in 2-3 in the morning.

but in all seriousness though.... I hear the new Georgetown Hospital Director here is really receptive to us SMU students being there, so maybe some collaboration can be done with them and Chrissie Thomlinson to get something done

I have seen posters around the school for a research day preparation session conducted by Dr. V. I have spoken to him and there is quite a lot of faculty publishing at the school. Also, Dr. B as well as many other faculty are starting a projects this semester. See him and he will place you with a faculty advisor based on your interest. I am interested in medical education, but there are many other possibilities!

so how was this research day preparation session that was conducted by Dr. V yesterday...

i went it was very informative. i think i was one of three first semesters there, not sure if i should try to do it, being it is my first semester. but i research would look great on a CV and for what i want to do it is going to be pretty much a nessesity.
