gym

Anyone know how far it is from the residence hall to the world gym and from the gym to the school. I tried to find things on a map but there isn't much out there on the internet....especially since they use po boxes for everthing and not street addresses. Also do students pay the full $465 a year to go to the world gym. How much is the gym on campus and is it adequate in your opinion? Thanks

good for you joining the gym, i didn't consider it for one second---haha. i don't go the gym here so i figured i def won't go there. i am going to buy a bike for commuting to school and for leisure so i'm sure i'll get enough exercise with that. but anyway, to answer your question, I think everything on that side of the island is pretty close to eachother.

i found an answer for you! i searched this website...caymannetnews.com and search the world gym, so in an article about it's reopening after IVAN it says, "re-opening of the World Gym Fitness Centre in the Seven Mile Beach area." but mayeb if you find an ad or something on that site you can see where it is and pics too.

just down the road from the residence hall. I never lived at the residence hall, but if I had to guess I would say 1/2 - 1 mile away. I would say that the gym and residence hall are about the same ways away from the school. you're looking at 3-4 miles I would estimate

the world gym fee is charged to you every month along with your tuition, so you never have to pay directly to Worlds Gym. I believe its like $50/semester or something like that. And.... we do not have a gym on campus, the only gym available is World's Gym, and the outside, where you can run/bike to and from school.

Is there a health foods store located on the island where you can get vitamins and supplements that normal grocery stores do not carry?

oh great..... we've got another body builder coming to campus.....

just be careful.... good ol' Physio taught me that increased steroids inhibit ACTH hormone, which eventually leads to you know what.... = decreased sex hormones

WSU cougar...Thanks for your concerns, however I am not a bodybuilder...lol. I like to eat healthy and usually the health food stores provide some grains I like as well as supplements and vitamins that help with some of my hayfever symptoms. GNC wasn't really what I had in mind when I asked, but I know they carry some of the vitamins/supplements I need so I won't have to pack them when I come. I have nothing against bodybuilding and I enjoy the gym as much as the next person but don't take "those kinds" of supplements. Its not worth it aka decrease in sex drive (small balls syndrome). I do believe that it is good for staying healthy and relieving stress. I actually prefer running outside and training for marathons. Now that I have explained myself...good grief. I know your just kidding and giving me a hard time. So I will stop here. Is there anything other than GNC?
