Some typical questions for most any interview to think about are the old 'What are you strengths and weaknesses' or variations like that like. They did also ask 'Why an international medical school'. I can't pin down other things, but nothing was "out of the blue" so certainly nothing to be nervous about. Oh, one of the last question was a variation on "describe yourself in a few words".. basically what would be some last words you'd like to shoot to the committee.

Heh, though I remember my heart beating the whole time.. but just be as natural as possible.. my personal interviewer did a good job of trying to ease into it. The interview process is stressful regardless, just by its nature -- hopefully he/she will ask the "How are you doing", "<insert other easy questions>", etc... y'know, kind of like how they set you up in a lie-detector test

Seriously just be confident and natural. If you got this, you've made good timely decisions, right? Good luck on the interview Kirarei!

Healthcare experience - 5 and a half years conducting NCI clinical trials in hematology/oncology at a medical center

Thanks a lot!

I'd say ur chances are great! I got into AUC/Ross/SGU with similiar stats and MCAT scores. I got into SMU as well but it was always my backup school (I wanted to be able to practice in all 50 states)

Hello Everyone!

HELLO,

My name is Talitha Tweedy! I am 22 years old and I am from Georgia! I have been accepted into SMU and plan on joining the medical team this coming Fall 2008! I am very very excited and nervous all at the same time! I have several questions and concerns that I will be posting in the next several days and I hope you all will respond! I would like to start preparing myself for this amazing journey and would like to know if the books change often or will I be safe purchasing the required text available now? Also how do you recommend I began my preparation if you can please help me with a suggestion for each class! THANKS EVERYONE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU AND MEETING SOME OF YOU EVENTUALLY! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

echolake 85, thanks a lot for your advice but I was already rejected to AUC for May and I applied 12/31. However, I have had an interview for St. George's but am applying to SMU, I went to the info seminar in NYC and seems like a nice school.

hi kryptk, would you mind me asking how long since the submission of the application until your interview invite and how long from your interview until admission. would you also mind me asking your stats? I read the viewbook SMU sent me and looked at the pics from the forum and read students opinions and it really seems like a great school.
