-School does have another loan company willing to offer funds, couldn't mention which one, or the details of what they will offer yet.

-Some discussion of clinicals/electives nothing new. No reasonable explanation of why the school pays so little for electives, just a run-around answer (with the chancellor even suggesting we raise tuition as a solution??)

-Clinical guy mentioned some pilot program running in Denver, students doing all cores in one location

-Many asked about increasing clinical sites, again "were working on it"

-Complaints about increased enrollment, space, campus resources; "were working on it"

-Concerns about the large incoming miami class, and the small amount of clinical sites. Cayman a permanent option for 5th to alleviate that large class size issues.

-Some working being done to get Florida sites

-School actively visiting state medical boards (recently went to Indiana, AMA)

-Chancellor mentioned an SMU student was granted licensure in Texas(if I heard this correctly that is a positive step forward)

-Not sure why the school is insisting on voting on the new health insurance policy, as if our vote is going to matter

    other can add to this...

THANK YOU for your summary ... and I doubt the rest of the questions all got the same answer 'we're working on it'

oh sure they used a lot of other wonderful phrases, like "it's a possibility", "very likely", "we anticipate", "I foresee", even changed it up a bit with some "that's unlikely" so "were working on it" pretty much sums it up as politely as possible

    any word on graduation?
but remember that, even when those who move you be kings or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God you cannot say "but I was told by others to do thus" or that "virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.

Typical SMU answer....I've been apart of this school now for three + years and it is always, "we are working on it." But as usual nothing ever happens. Only a handfull of weeks left I have to deal with the SMU **.
