wyckoff acgme residency affils? how can these be green?

Neither St. Johns nor Wyckoff have accredited surgery rotations listed at acgme.org

so how again is it that surgery and peds are green?

Here is the link to Freida, they are listed under NY Medical College Brooklyn/Queens Program, they list Wyckoff (aka Caritas) as a participating institution.

Oops, I only listed OB/Gyn and Surg above, this is the link for Peds,
FREIDA Online program information
Wyckoff is a participating institution for Brooklyn Hospital's peds residency. Also, dont forget that many states accept the family practice umbrella, and Wyckoff has an acgme program in FP. Not that I am great defender of their rotations, for the most part they arent that great, but they get the job done.

But the rotations at Wyckoff don't fall into this category, right?

it looks like wyckoff is a tenuous link.

wyckoff isn't mentioned in 2 of those links above.
Is wyckoff wholly part of Caritas? I mean 100% synonymous rock solid with caritas....

if caritas decides to ditch Wyckoff in the future, as Mercedes ditched Chrysler...... what will become of us then.

Wyckoff is specifically mentioned in 2 of 3 links (scroll down to the participating institutions), and caritas is mentioned in the third. Caritas and Wyckoff are one and the same, its is the name of the corporation that bought st.Johns/MIH. As far as licensure, I have friends from AUC and Ross who are currently liscenced in texas, ny, and cali with no problems with their wyckoff rotations. This link to other programs, as poopy as it may seem, is enough to get us liscensed.

Are we in any sort of

crisis or not? i am very lost by all these posts...what am i reading now? we are here guessing around, and then our school officials are NOT telling the future directives...

is this anything implied that i simply cannot see? i am a bit "concerned" here, after i PAID all that money already and PUT all that time & efforts into this process...

what would i expect to see in the very near future???

There is no crisis. The rotations that are listed green are in fact green. I did research on them as have a lot of people that are in clinicals.

What is up with this negative posts about rotations. If you look at the clinical rotations subforum the affiliations for Wyckoff are listed on the first post on the Wyckoff thread. OB/GYN is ACGME affiliated, check the ACGME site, it lists Wyckoff under the Brooklyn/Queens Hospital program like an earlier poster said. With Surgery, it doesn't list Wyckoff, but I saw with my own eyes MD residents from the NY Medical college (again the B/Q program) that were rotating through the surgery service at Wyckoff. If you ask JR what is the ACGME # used for the program he will provide you with the one for the B/Q program (aka Caritas). If it were not affiliated, he would not be able to provide that number for the Cali letter for Ross & AUC students. Go into his office and ask. This has been discussed ad naseum.

Caritas was bought out by Wyckoff, I don't think they could easily come away from the affiliation without Wyckoff's prior approval (in other words Wyckoff owns the Caritas hospitals).
