based on the original post though, it seems like you REALLY need to look into things before jumping in. made a thorough, educated decision. its the biggest decision of your life, don't just blindly jump into it.

go gauchos!

Of course, if the shortage of primary care docs continues, and the trend of IMGs making up some 60% of those currently in PC intern slots does anything but reduce by a factor of 10, then they may be forced to re-evaluate whether or not it is wise to turn away board certfied MD's from offshore schools.
i didnt know that; that's very interesting and critical for potential students to know. the speculation of the future is interesting indeed..but it can't be counted on by any one who would like to practice there in the furture of course. good luck.

she has been saying that anyone enrolled in a non-Cali certified school for even one class of basics won't be able to practice there since day one.

If I don't get accepted there, then I will have to wait and re-take the MCATs as many of you suggested, or I will just forget about Cali altogether and just go to St.Matthews.....we will see whats going on with UAG first...hopefully that works out.... i will keep you guys posted
i have nothing against SMU (just the trolls from that school who go to other forums and talk crap about those schools) but do what you can to get into a cali approved school. there is also poznan in poland...its on the cali list...i know thats far as hell too but hey, its a thought. Second, you are 22!!! GOD i wish i can be 22 again...i wish i can go back and spend the 2-3 years getting into a us school or at least do a masters program and exhaust all options. seriously though, if you don't get into or decide not to go to UAG, then do what u can to get into a cali approved school. good luck with whatever path you choose.

yes call them and if you can speak with Dr. C to see if you can get into MERP. my friend did that and now he is finished and heading to the island for May.
