Exclamation Any Advantages?

Was Seiously Considering The Program, But What Can You Do With A Specialization In healthcare Management When You Have An Md ? I Would Think An Mba In Finance Would Be More Useful In The Market. Any Input ?

Healthcare management if you want to be per say "Director of and ER" or any other department within a hospital. Finance could be applied more to having your own practice, but I could see how Healthcare Management would be perfect there also.

An MBA in finance from Davenport is about as useful as an MD from SMU in California. Financial banking is harder to get into than dermatology, and typically requires a degree from a top 50 school to get a job at a top investment firm. The Davenport MBA is useful for only useful for improving your personal business skills (something that should be a requirement for graduates).

advantage

let's face it - the real advantage is keeping the loan sharks at bay for at least a while - i.e. you are enrolled full-time at a US school and thus can defer making undergrad loan payments...

but I am sure the info wil be helpful. Heck, I am planning on enrolling just for the extra initials that I get behind my name.

I apologize if this has already been addressed previously, but can anyone say how much excess loan money after tuition is available each semester by doing the Davenport program??

1) Regarding St Joe's transfer credits: How many will Davenport take?

2) Has anyone had luck transferring in most of their credits from the MHSA program at St Joe's?

3) Regarding loans: Has anyone used additional private, credit-based loans through Davenport? If so, how much more can on borrow?

4) Can spouses qualify for the MBA program?
