Davenport told me that the program should only take about 2 years to finish. So if you're doing the Davenport program to push off paying your undergrad student loans, what are you guys going to do the final 2 years of Medical School?

Well, you can spread it out.. remember that you don't have to repay loans until you have been disenrolled for 6 months. You can take off, one term (7 weeks) a few times per year. This will prolong your time. You can time it where you finish near the end of school, or even after. Most student loan programs will allow you to defer loans while in residency as well.
You can finish while in residency, in fact a lot of programs offer Master's programs along with your residency.

Anytime...

I spent a lot of time and money learning marketing for my old office. Business is cut throat... and when you have your own business, you better make sure you have customers.

I think it is a neat class, I hope others will be like it.

Have you taken other classes through them???

So what exactly is the MBA in? Do you feel you are learning marketable skills? Sorry for the random questions but I'm trying to gauge the applicability of the degree...

how do the loans work. As far as i understand if you do the SMU/Davenport MD/MBA program you are eligable for Stafford loans ( think the max is 38,500 a year) correct, if you have loans from undergrad they go into deferment and if you need any type of private loan you are able to go through Sallie Mae. I have a appointment to speak with someone from Davenport on Monday, but im anxious to hear what others have to say. thanks
