The minimum for full financial aid is one class per semester which is really only half a semester as their classes are 7 weeks in length. I am currently doing this and have had no problems getting the money and the classes aren't all that time consuming or tough.

dont' bother asking for transfer credits. They don't accept much and Davenport also requires more prerequisites. Therefore, you end up only really transferring 1-2 classes.

Question

can you take one class per term and get full financial aid??? Or do you need to enroll in 2 classes per term to receive $9250 each term? I didn't receive full aid for enrolling in one course only. ???

i know. i contacted the lady at davenport and she said she is working on a website that will have all the info and would forward me the link once complete. she didn't say how long it would take to complete. i don't want a big chunk of the 18,500 to go towards tuition and fees for the year. that would defeat the purpose of doing the program, unless you really just want an MBA, too.

I just started the Davenport program this week. The classes are not bad, especially if you have been through a block or two of med school. The class opened on Saturday and I have already done all lectures with questions for the entire 7 weeks of class. Now I just have to read the chapters (when my book gets here), post a few additional things from the book, then post at least 5 times a week to other students and write "what I have learned this week" at the end of each week. Also.. I have 3 papers to write for the class.
It is a lot, but not compared to med school. I think I could be done with the entire course content by next weekend.

So... that should show you how much MORE med school is. I have more in one WEEK of anatomy than all 7 weeks of a MBA class. Dr. C will go through 200-300 power point slides in ONE class.

So.. if you can do the med... you can do the MBA too.. there is enough time here to do both.

Good Luck.

agreed. the classes are very doable. I have completed seven classes now, and some are very easy, some are very difficult. The difficult ones often involve a lot of writing. My last last one had 4-5 page papers due week, weekly 300 word discussion responces, and a 12 page final. In other classes all I had to do was post short responses to discussion question. I have learned a lot from the courses and I think they are worth it.

Yeah, it is a good idea if you have existing US loans. I know I am going more into debt, but I am saving $600 a month, by not having to pay my other loans.
