Thread: Survival Tips at SMU?

Now that I found out that I have been accepted for Jan. 2007 I need tips for survival at SMU. Like: What should I avoid and the best way to study effectively for the classes? Should like avoid studying the night before or studying too late at night, etc??
Medical is much different than undergrad of college, so I hear... So, I just want to know what I should do to stay afloat before I get there. Thanks!

So many things come into play...I have to repeat things in order for them to "sink" in. I studied for about 3-5 hours (depending on how productive the day was) a day. I read, but found answering mock questions to be a good way to prepare for exams: The "Pretest Series" are excellent for this. Then there are the powerpoints that the professors make, I studied and modified each so that I could get the most out of them. I also used the BRS series. I am not a good crammer, so I never crammed in the end. Just kept a steady pace and it helped me throughout Basic Sciences.
