would you PLEASE send an email out to the students regarding intergrity and theft ... as well as ask if anyone has seen my LifeDrive (Palm) and if yes would they please turn it in to the Office of Student Affairs. I had all of my documents downloaded on it with some personal pictures of family and friends. I am devastated that anyone that is currently in medical school would even consider stealling something, especially from another student. Maybe it isn't stolen, maybe someone found it and is waiting for me to request it.

Intergrity at SMU? cmon...i have never seen so many shady people in my life! cheating on exams, cheating on significant others etc. was a VERY common thing.

I go here, and I haven't seen people cheat...

Some people like to exaggerate things, so no, the majority of students don't cheat.

thats what i want to have put in my medical school records. that i got caught cheating. yeah right. for those who do i hope you get caught. even though i think they go too easy on cheaters i still think its kind of cool that they post information on the cheaters on the wall for all to see. the only thing missing is their sorry butt names. little cheaters grow up to be big cheaters. cheat all you want now. when i pass step 1 and you are still trying to get by biochem or physio i will be thinking about you while i am getting ready for what comes next.

Cheaters...You see them everywhere. They even continue this behavior up to clinicals (and beyond). There was an interesting article about how Docs who have been sued for malpractice also showed unethical tendicies during med school.

glad to see someone come forward to write this...as i stated prev. time is the best teacher in LIFE. it will teach one so well to the point that he/she just would continue to argue w/ ones that have more experiences in life.

worry not! cheaters do know they will pay the price sooner or later, but they always want to have the "chea"p bargain by getting away from the norm.

In my class we had the same 5 or 6 students (out of 180) who would cheat each semester. Everyone knew it except the teachers. To make a long story short we left them to do what they wanted as we studied our butts off. We all knew we cant worry about them. As mentioned in the previous post....time will tell.

Ya, that is SWEET! I like that the school posts it for ALL to see. Even though the names aren't listed people know who they are....sweet.

I like that it goes into their file and is reported on their letter for clinicals.
