Thread: What are some good ways to study for Pharm Shelf?

The first aid seems pretty short. Its only like 20 pages.
I was hitting up some Katsung questions along with thome of the Kaplan Q-book questions...what are some other recommendations?

I used BRS and the BRS cards only and I did very well on the shelf! I raised my class score quite a bit with the shelf.

if you know First Aid you are set. Go to Katzung for some more pathophysiology and detailed Mechanism stuff on the High Yield drugs only. If you also have tons of time to burn, do Kaplan.

Since I worked hard during the semester to memorize the drugs by the means of my study which was reading katsung review of Pharm, when shelf time came I just read over the same material once again, and it saved a lot of review time and the info came back quickly, no need to build new pathways in the brain.. so i suggest you review over what ever source you have already studied in pharm during the semester and dont get started on a new source.

I also find FA pharm to not be detailed enough, what's a good book to supplement with FA pharm.
