Nothing to LOL
DocRon i dont think there is anything to LOL.
I think now everyone knows the truth,so Nostradamus has not replied back. This is fake Nostradamus, who is a big liar and after seeing everything he cannot tell the truth. But i think it will be a good example for anyone in future who tries to give a bad name to St.Martinus. As i have seen many students have posted on this website after Nostradamus tried to give bad name to St.MU after all lie. Hope he learns a lesson and try to study and pass subjects otherwise the dream of becoming doctor will never be fulfilled. |

hilarious
The administration does a very good job in pushing students to write these wonderful "laudaes" about the school. congrats. The only thing to note about the responses was attacks to students that left for St. James. The real issues were not addressed. Dr. Hawkins I don't need a 500 word response, save it. Where are the arguments defending the honorable owner??

friendly advice to whistleblower
Dear Whistleblower, why don't you put as much energy in studying as you put on denigrating a real medical school where you tought you could get good grades without studying??

Start studying
I think some of the medical students hate study's and their new job is writting some weired stuff which is meaningless.
I advice you to start studying from now, everyone knows that the guys who left martinus failed their classes and now when they are getting those falied transcripts, this forum is only the source to take their revenge. But i dont think it will help,as to become a good doc u have to spend lot of hours with books and not with valuemd. It will not help in future. If u write some truth and meaningful with proved facts than its acceptable but writting in frustration will not help and will destroy your carrear and personality. hope you will learn from this. Good luck. |

On Tell The Untold
ON TELL THE UNTOLD
The thread starter wrote "Deception comes in many ways. The St. Martinus university is a deception of a lifetime. Everything about this university is flawed." The following is the understatement of a life time. First St Martinus is not a university, but a scham or scam for a medical school struggling to get off the ground even after three years. Go to the dictionary and check the definition of UNIVERSITY. The thread starter wrote The university is a huge deception for all.The owner/president/CEO is indeed a sweet talker and well known for not paying the teachers at St Martinus on time. It is not true to say that St Martinus ever had or even now has the best professors of the Caribbean. What is true though is that some good teachers left because they were not getting their money on time. It is indeed true that they were replaced by some desperate Ph.D rejects, who were actually running the school last fall. I was there then and it was indeed most hilarious. Were it not for two big belly professors (one of whom ) was pregnant the school would have fallen apart totally then . These two big belly professors were teaching up to three courses each /or participating in the teaching of three or four courses at times. The school was then led by two men who had neither graced the portals of any med school any where on the globe, and who in addition could not teach the subjects assigned to them. The best thing at St Martinus are the buildings. The school is housed in a large building that was once a local Roman Catholic High School for girls. There is a room with less than 300 medical text books- none of which are ever loaned out, even as overnight books. There are a handful of classrooms and a few labs. When you are asked to "come to St Martinus for free" this is what you are shown. A few staff members and a few rooms. Though there were only a few staff members in any semester, I was there, only one, had been there for more than two semesters, then. In other words St Martinus-like St James can not keep staff members. All good schools function by having continuity of dependable and proper staff. Smart doctor will probably come and say the staff that left was not good anyway.........then this means that St Martinus does indeed hire improper staff as I have noted, and as the starter of this thread suggested. In the semesters that I was there ( and from reports I've recieved) it was true that St Martinus could not bring more than half a dozen blinded students to enroll. In May there was a single solitary student who enrolled. In January there were six - three of whom have left. Last fall there were 3 in the premed, two in the MD2, (as MD1 was cancelled because the Anatomy teacher came and turned back) and four who transferred from one of the contiguous schools - St James. All six of the last mentioned students have since left --- for what ever reasons. They were not the first to leave St Martinus, and I promise you they wont be the last. When the poster writes "We were promised a whole lot, a loan program, a place to live that would be provided, a suitable curriculum, a lot of major merger and investment deals for the university that were just bait to keep the hopes up" he/she is indeed telling the truth. The owner sent the IT man to Bonaire to sollicit students from St James. A whole group of students went over one weekend in late July 2004, all expenses paid but only four of them fell for this marketing scheme by St Martinus who were --- and still are desperate for students. The motto at ST MARTINUS should be PROMISES PROMISES PROMISES When the poster writes "The official Dean of the university does not live on the Island," it is true. He left last fall because St Martinus did not want to pay him. When the poster writes "Almost the whole faculty has been appointed a Dean position. Maybe this is one of his ingenous strategies to keeping the faculty happy" he is again telling the truth. There was an Associate Dean for PreMed though there was no Pre Med program. (Doubt me? Check the website quickly before they change it). There was an Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. This went to last years spokesman for St Martinus on this forum-- the ubiquitous Dr *********. A man who never went to Med School, a man who knows nothing about medical schools or medicine or the Medical Ethics or Behavioral Sciences he taught, was in charge of Academic Affairs in the St Martinus charade. (Doubt me? Check the website quickly before they change it) I am forced to concur with the author of the first post in this thread when he posits In one big mess that is St. Martinus I do not wish anybody to endure such uncertainty and deshonesty... let the truth be told." Misspixie wrote
I have been told by students who transferred from this school that ................... 1-St Martinus is NOT acredited anywhere in the United States. 2- There are less than 30 students enrolled 3- There are only about 6-7 teachers, and that one of these teaches psychology/psychiatry and ethics but is neither a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist or a doctor. 4- The school claims to prepare students for the USMLE, but although the first group of grads finished thier course last fall only ONE of them passed step one. 5 More students have transferred from this school in the last four semesters than students enrolling. 6- There are definitely no clinical rotations set up in New York City, Chicago, or Atlanta. Are these things really true? or are these the words of man's best friending students First she says I was told by transfer students, now she says she was a student at St. Martinus. What is true my friend. Were you student over here or your friend was a student over here? Or may be you were a prof. over here. What's the truth? You wrote St. Martinus is not accrediated anywhere and you will post to individual boards. I had made the job easier for you. Please go and check the licensure thread. Truth is there, St. Martinus is accrediated by many states in USA and most of the countries in the world. Please don't distort my post. If you cut and paste then paste the whole thread not just 2 lines. School bashing will not help you. Go and study my friend. |
