I think its an unrealistic expectation to expect a school to fix your credit/financial/emotional/sexual/health/academic problems. Fix yourselves first people.
its funny but i still dont get it. how is "Dean of Clinical Sciences without a license??? " a personal problem braincoral ?

what are you talking about?? Everyone at st martinus at this moment has ISSUES!!! Infact people with the most issues stayed at ST MARTINUS!!!ESP the students in MD2 and MD4 last semester...you people have issues
I had legitimate reasons for leaving..financial issues ??Yes I did have financial issues with the school ..they had not given me any money for two semesters from my loan!!!I had to live off money from home..if you consider that personal issues...then personal issues it iss...there are atleast four students that were not placed in the right semester when they entered the school..if you consider that personal then personal it is....but both issues i think have a tinnnnnnnnnnnnny bit to do with the school..thnxxx....cheers ...THD

Some help from your previous mails:
"I went to St MArtinus for a semester and they scammed me out of my money ..."
"they had not given me any money for two semesters"

And now a more difficult one:

St Martinus Is Not The Worst Offshore Medical School

I enjoyed that last post by makamba.

I had the privilige of teaching at St Martinus from Sept 2004-2005. I did not return mainly for immigation reasons.

ST MARTINUS IS NOT THE WORST OFFSHORE MEDICAL SCHOOL.

I dont know if the Pathologist is still there who was there in my time; but I do know that you wont get a better or more dedicated Path teacher anywhere.

The Clinical Dean, whatever his problems elsewhere, is an experienced and well trained doctor, and an excellent teacher. Few schools will match him in Neurosciences as he is an experienced Neurologist. His Physical Diagnosis powerpoints are great also.

You canot buy powerpoints in Biochemistry like those produced by the Biochemistry teacher. Nor can you get a more dedicated lecturer than the Embryology & Histology teacher.

St Martinus is indeed a new and small school which somehow has not grown as it ought to have, but it is not the worst by a long shot, despite its failings.

Also by now, most of the graduation classes of Dec 2004 and 2005 should be in clinicals. I assisted in teaching some of these students. I can tell you that they were generally polite, proper, hard working persons and I am not surprised to hear that they have done well on the Step 1 exams.

The numbers of students passing might be small, but I would expect the scores to be high because of the work ethic of the students, extra work done with the students, and certain modifications of the curriculum that I expected to yield certain results.

If you dont like St Martinus, shut up and go elsewhere!

lswiltshire, do you think St. MU will achieve a good reputation within the next 10 years? I'm interested in transferring to this school.

Hey Maka,

I should have simplfied my post, given the prevailing intelligence levels at SMU.

I was at SMU for ONE semester, the loan money was disbursed for the SECOND semester as well as I did not withdraw until later.

As for the second question, I choose not to answer it; I hope you can respect my privacy.

When is this going to stop!
I don't why y'all have to keep bashing the school over the same old things. It's a new school.........we all agree and they've had some problems.....but things are getting better and I know for sure that there are more than a handful students doing rotations in the US as well as the Netherlands. For those that couldn't work out their problems with the school .......too bad, please get over it and move on, but don't try to prevent others from coming.

Hirizal,

I'm confused. What school do you attend. St. Martinus or CMU and how are they related? Enlighten me because I'm looking into attending St. Martinus and if there's a problem with me being able to get my refund back then I might want to rethink this because I'll be leaving behind 2 small children that will need some sort of financial help. What's the real deal on this place?
