But I can not understand MR DrB.
He is writing the worst things about our school on and on and I was jus wondering where was a proof of those slanders. Is somebody paying you to do that. Almost in each message you are saing those things. Tell my why? We as a school would like to invite you to Bonaire to get know the school and the environment. Im not saying our school is the best, but 100% honest to our student. Other issue to consider is our growth. At the beginning of this year we had about 20 new students and in September nearly 70 new students joined Saint James. We are now taking over the hospital building to create more rooms for the January students.
So if i could ask you for something: Just be honest and give arguments.
Actually DrB has been fairly consistent in his comments for all the schools.

His comment about doing better than St. James is a fair one. I agree with him that there are schools out there better than St. James.

Is the flight and accomodation included in your invitation for a visit to your school in Bonaire? I would be interested in DrB's comments after the visit. Maybe you could invite me too?

DrB

DrB:
My cautions to students have nothing to do with St. James in particular. Rather, my cautions have more to do with attending a relatively new medical school.

SJSM:
If a student dont find our offer atractive, he can always swich to another and the more semesters he spends with us the more money he saves.

DrB:
To my knowldege, St. James doesnot provide anything that is not available at the established schools.

SJSM:
Whats about tuition and other fees?
Whats about easy access to rotation?
Whats about great student-teacher ratio?
Whats about taking care of each !!! individual student?
.....
.....
.....
We dont want to fight with you on this forum cause we all have a lot of work to do to make our school more popular and attractive, so just trust me that you can neither close the school nor stop students from applying to SJSM.
And if Im not wrong you are the president of other carribean medical school so thats the explanation of your big interest of writing those things about saint james. Right?

U are right

Hey DrB!!! U said that SJSM has nothing more to offer thna the bigger med schools in the caribbean.....as far as infrastructure is concerned u probably are right. But as far tuitions costs are concerned ....SJSM is 1/3rd that of any other institute.More over the hospital of Bonaire is at the disposal of the students....so as a result from day one students have the option of getting hands on experiece with clinical medicine. None of the other caribbean med schools can offer that and I dont think that many international schools do that either. As for licensure.....well if u do not want to practice in those partuicular states I think SJSM is the best bet.But I must agree with you that an established med school is more develpoed as far as infrastructure is concerned. But SJSM is also developing in leaps and bounds. It is probably the fastest growing Med school in the caribbean.

..

kish, are you a student at St. James? If so, could you tell me about the exam system the school has? And, is there a final comprehensive exam at the end of the basic sciences?

add on edit: I just saw your first post where you said that you will be attending this coming Jan 2004.
