I disagree with Chessman only because I was like #3 the first time to get this loan and wa approved without a Cosigner with a 720 score, now cause of debt load I'm at 680 and was approved by myself again but because of the cosigner rule I still have to have one, 800 is really high since less than 1% of the country has such a score :$

Cooldreams is there any friends or any body? Any relatives? It will be your loan. Call the school and talk to Erma.

sure it will be "my loan" that is on someone else's credit report. because of that, i will have no cosigner.

basically now im trying to figure out how to do this with no loans. if i am unable to do that, then i will apply, with no cosigner. if that falls through, then i will just have to go to school somewhere else. i have no other choice in this matter........ so unfortunate...........

There is nothing at this time. I cannot find anything for US students as in financial aid. I have talked to almost every lender and have come up with nothing. If I find anything at all I will let everyone know

Loan to Learn and Sallie Mae

Hi, I just tried loan to learn and Sallie Mae and they stated that St James was not on their list of approved providers. Any advice?

St James is not on any lists now because we have NO FUNDING!!!! If you want to come here you either have to pay cash or get a personal loan. You can not get an educational loan from any US lender because SJ is not in the US so they will not give you one, therefore you have to apply for just a private personal loan and make payments the whole time you are here. Oh, and if you have student loans from your undergrad, you most likely won't be able to get them deferred either because SJ isn't recognized by most companies that already gave you your previous loans.

Okay

Okay, thanks.

So, how do you make payments while in medschool? It seems as if the although the school is cheap that only the rich can afford it. I guess I could get a loan to make the payments too. Ouch.

I was one of the lucky ones to get Sallie Mae right before the pull out so I have loans through them until the end of this semester. Either will be transferring out of here in acouple months to another school or doing an online master's degree program while I am here..only options I have.
