Talking For Bloomiesbrat

Bloomiesbrat,
I definitely agree with DocRon. I understand where you are coming from with the problems that you have encountered with Saint James. But you have to realize that there are students here that study their butts off to do well on the USMLE. For you to say that DocRon passed the USMLE because he was a PA is completely absurd. No matter what background you may have you have to study extremely well to do well on the USMLE. There are students that do not have a science background and are doing well on the USMLE. I know some students from here that received 99s and I knew a student personally from 2 semesters ago that received an 88. People like these students deserve to get their recognition. They may not have had the best profs and education like St.George,Ross,Auc but at least they studied hard to achieve an excellent USMLE score. There are some good teachers here at Saint James. But think about it for someone to come out of this school and get a good usmle score-don't you think they deserve that recognition?!?!
Oh and you were saying that there are students here that are failing and they are still going to the next class up. I definitely agree with that. There are students here that fail classes and they have to take a re-take exams which I personally think is repulsive. If you fail a class you should retake the class. But anyways I know students that have failed so many classes at Saint James and are failing the USMLE crazy! I know this for a FACT!!! So don't worry, they learned their lesson the hard way....

Oh and one more thing, I definitely agree with what you said about Frakenstone. He has DEFINITELY done a 180. We all know how he kissed butt around here and how is doing it at Xavier too. You know that saying "What goes around comes around" is true!!!!!!

good points

I agree with you on most points, however, i do not agree that one should have to retake a class just b/c they failed a exam. This is med school, some people unfortunately fail, having to take the class again will not do anyone any good, unless they fail multiple times, which then should force them to reevaluate what they are doing there in the first place. my 2 cents

Red face To nuground

Nuground,

You said this is med school..."EXACTLY." In a normal medical school setting in US there are no retakes. Also at good caribbean schools such as SGU,Ross and AUC there are no retakes. If there are no retake exams it will force the student to study harder. That is my point...

I had taken such action when Frankenstone gave me such info. I sent in the registered mail to chicago office and they accepted it....I have signatures...Then I get the collection letter. Have you truely, ever heard that a medical school or any other school in the USA or Canada would black mail their students and penalize them for transferring for whatever reasons? When actually, SJSM could not provide the students the loans which rightfully they were asking and were given false promises again and again. I am ready to sit with you to answer any questions you or your supportesr may have, but, at the same time have the wisdom and courage to answer the situation we are in... Thank you.

P.S. I have been a senior member in the SGA at SJSM and supported this school from every angel, but, sorry to say that I had no other choice but to leave such a school, which cares only about money and not about the future of students.

Dhaliwal
i am going to acknowledge it right here....the contributions by both frankenstone and sabidhaliwal to our school was tremondous.......they did a lot for the school in its utmost times of needs....and the students of sjsm should be utterly gratefull to them for their efforts...
and i beleive u guys that u had taken the necessary steps for a transfer....
however u must realize sga doesn't have any power over the issue that is in front of u guys......it is entirely in the hands of the administration.....u can come here and say all u want....but if your goal is to reach the administration through this forum.....u know yourself...all your effort will go in vain....
now regarding the $4000 usd i realize this is a huge issue that needs to be dealt with it.....and to those affected i would suggest to unite and jointly resolve this issue......strength is going to be in majority.........this issue had come up periodically in the past and have to be dealt with once and for all....no matter wut the cost....that is the only way now to move on....

Talking Come again

Well, being that we are medical students, I really don't have much time. As opposed to you, I actually have to study to pass. You merely take everybody home and treat them for a dinner.

You say that I should come out and talk to you in person. Sorry. I have been avoiding you ever since MD I and I will not go out of my way to talk to you but rather hide from you.

BTW, you think there is no dirt on your school? How about if you are a girl, then don't go to Xavier coz you might get harasssed by Mr. ----?! Or is it not funny how Xavier was saying that they will just make up marks for all their students who transfer?! Like, nobody even needs their transcript from SJSM because they will make it seem like you were at Xavier form MDI. Wonder why they changed their mind...Also, what kind of a school accepts transfers in the middle of the semester???
Is this enough or should I go on???? Just let me know...

edited for names.

srna....

You, me and many others from Bonaire know the type of things that Xavier does, and the amount of dirt they've accumulated since their short existence. You have mentioned only a few. For the year or so that they have been open, they have continuosly attacked SJSM, yet mooched off of SJSM students and teachers. Yet still, we have more-less refrained from stooping to their level, and it might be a good idea to stay a class above them by not throwing stones back at them. Like I said in my previous post, there is a lot to be said about that school but in no way should we intentionally try to hurt that school (even if it is all true) because in the end it is their students that hurt the most.

Red face med students should learn to read

Reading should be a prequisite for St James students. I never said that he passed b/c he's a PA. I said I'm sure it helps that he is a PA. I clearly state that he is a hardworker from what I've heard. Yeah there were alot of hardworking students when I was there. I'm just a proponent of if you pay tuition you might as well get an education from good faculty and adequate facilities instead of a do it yourself kind of education. Just my opinion though.

Med students should learn not to be so cranky! I was not trying to argue with you or anything. I was just trying to simply say that no matter what background you are, it is the hard work you put in a med school that will help you do well on the USMLE.Believe it or not there are a couple of really good professors here. And they do help students on their path to USMLE success.Just because you did not have a good experience with Saint James does not mean others do not have a good experience with the school. And I'm not saying everyone is getting a high score on USMLE coming out of Saint James..There are people that are studying hard and pass and then there are those that don't study hard and fail..that was my point...

Cool frankenstone

Id just like to say frankenstone y don’t u just get a life, before you ever came to Bonaire you didn’t seem to have one and would spend hours on end on value md defending a school that you had never even seen. AND now you sit there and bash the school…..just makes me wonder what kind of crazy are u?

Bloomiesbrat and I used to post on the site and actually got banned by you when u were the moderator for sjsm. After I realized that freedom speech was prohibited I gave up on this site. But sitting back and reading your ** about not sucking up now that just makes me laugh

You were the very same person who told me before Xavier opened up that they were not even moving into the building two weeks prior to the school beginning classes, You even went as far as to say that Dr. R***** was looking into leasing out the building for sjsm. I’m also assuming u were hallucinating when said that you saw the set up for the cadavers in the new hospital building. Now does that make ne one else question where this guy gets his facts from??

Apparently while he was in the US little voices told him how great SJSM was now I guess their back to tell him about Xavier this time

Your a joke ...I just feel bad that naive students who haven’t gotten to the island hang on to your every word

Get a life stop trying to get through life sucking up to the administration of every school you transfer to

Frankenstoned

See..that's what I mean...you provoke others by being negative and immature. You have issues..deal with them. I understand you may have gotton screwed, and that sucks, but take the high road. Again...you want to be a doctor...a bit more professionalism would serve you better.
