What happens when you need transcripts for ECFMG, medical boards, etc? Still need to solve this issue.

What are the sides? St. James should give transcripts.... and something will be done about this. I will keep all updated.

Luckily there are other ways around this.

Although I have never ever in my life agreed with jpryor nor frankenstone before on any forum about any issue on this issue frankenstone is actually correct. I must say I do enjoy the irony of their plight. Both raved about a school that at the time neither attended and have since transferred out of. Neither would listen when actual students would tell them otherwise about SJSM. Students like myself who did they would make out to be just haters. I was in Bonaire way before either of them got there and while one was there. Oh well I guess you could say it's Karma. I got out before I got royally screwed.
Regardless SJSM has a problem with releasing transcripts not only to Xavier but any other school in the Caribbean. I paid my $50 for transcripts and SJSM did not want to send them out. My applications at schools like St. George's , Ross, AUC, and Saba became incomplete pending transcripts. I would call frequently and one excuse after another was made. Ultimately my lawyer sent them a nice letter and my transcripts were released. This took almost a year for the entire process. This has been an on going battle with the school. Many students have taken the school to court and in most cases have received their transcripts.
Please feel free to challenge what I've said. I know I'm right,even of my notions of how horrible SJSM was. I have nothing to hide.

I haven't writen in a while, BUT there is news. First, I want to tell all People that this issue has become a forefront issue in Bonaire. Since the 18+ students involved with the 4000 dollar issue or transcript issue we have contacted several people. The governor is not happy with St. James from the meetings by our student representatives, there is an investigation starting. There will be legal action taken by us - the ball is rolling. We are taking the offensive more than the defensive on this. I cannot say more but I will keep you updated as time progresses.

We will not stand around while St. James thinks it can do what it wants to the students. If we are going to go through this much trouble then we want the whole Enchilada. I wrote an email to the president of SJ stating that this should be stopped and lets not take this any further - the ball was in his court. Well, no reply. Now the gauntlet is down and if the school gets shut down or loses its WHO listing from this then albeit. I like the students from St. James and I would not want to hurt them,but I have an education to think of and so do others.

Whether you believe me or not..... it doesn't matter. What's wrong is wrong... period. I am a guy who understands that things happen and lets roll with the punches. But when there are blatant injustices from a supposed "medical institution" then I will not give these things the same consideration. Any insitution of higher learning should have a measure of honor and decency. Apparently St. James has lost theirs.

finally some constructive work other than bashing each other at this forum....good do wut needs to be done....surprising though people are undertaking actions now when it only affects themselves....and if u went to the governor...find out why the government hasn't given your school WHO approval yet.....

i am not sure wut is written on the collection letters....but the word from the school is.....that the school has an withdrawal form, transfer request forms on their website....and students wishing to withdraw or transfer must complete the forms and submit it......i am hearing now that most of the people who transferred didn't do so...they didn't send the forms to chicago or at the bonaire campus at the least......and as a result were officially enrolled for this semester.....so now that the first month is gone and u have lost your refund status....the school has passed the matter to the collection department.....
in the future it would be wise if anyone wants to transfer and withdraw to forward those documents....and to confirm their receipt....
if u still feel u have been deceived take the necessary action u feel are appropriate and feel free to post your experience here.....
