Parth 1983 you make some good points, but you are dead wrong when it comes to what I can do. I could care less what you, litlshire or anyone else thinks. I made my statements and stand firmly by them. They said we will never land on the moon as I recall. I am competing to be # 1, and that is exactly what I am going to do. I will be the best heart surgeon on the planet one day! I wish you the best, but if you take a class with me here at St. James, be prepared to lose. I will outscore you every time. The same goes for bob2k and liltshire. By the way, I don't care what they did to get into Harvard, I am going to smoke those students when I face them. You may be impressed by them, but I am not! Bash St. James all you want, but the fact remains: we have some very good students who can compete with anyone. I am one of them! Like I said before, put up your scores when you get them. No hard feelings. Best wishes!

yes i started that thread but not in a declarative sentence. I asked if it is fair. go back to your college writing books and relearn how to comprehend.

And that other thread about the Ross Scholarship??

no, that was not my thread.

The words "dissociative disorder" come to mind...
Hope it all woks out for you.

if you are a licensed doctor you can be sued for virtual and non-onsite clinical diagnosis. see the person first before you try to repeat what your psychiatry professor taught you.

I really think that the king of all the bashers is Neilc... rrod is up there too, but at least he has some original thought. I still don't get how a medical student from the Czech republic can be so arrogant. And he always shows up to bash. Ultimately he must be a troll. How could they let a troll become a moderator???

I would go to St. James and even pay double than go to the Czech rebublic. It is cold. The Czech language is useless. You are better off learning Spanish or a language that you might need in your practice. The program is 6 years long. You do clinicals in the Czech...

The only thing you have is 50 state approval. So what, Saddam University in Iraq, has 50 state approval. Neilc, if you really are not a troll and you really want people to know the truth, why don't you humble yourself a little. Your school is not that great dude... You are not better than anyone from St. James. -s&a

never said i was better. never, ever claimed my school was great. in fact, if you read my recommendations, my school is typically low on the list. far ahead of st james and spartan, however, simply due to a few facts...mainly the univ. licensure, but also the fact that we have czech grads in all specialties all over the states.

if you choose a school based on weather, tho, you have big problemd

What is up your crack man? If you think St. James students won't pass Step 1 then you are already wrong. 2 months ago a student that I knew scored a 240 on the USMLE. I know others who passed too. So, you got an attitude problem. I know I will pass also - I am already registered. So, I don't know what's got into you but you are pretty judgemental.

Like it or not people are passing the USMLE and our class sizes are more like 35 to 40 students.

to sbturner:

u said i made some good points, but i am wrong about what you can do? i'm not wrong about that.............like i said..........i hope you do very well and succeed. i never said that you can't do anything............i hope u do very well..........but like i am trying to point out.........in education, you have hundreds of thousands of people in the 99th percentile..........so in order to differentiate yourself from others, they look at other things like which school you go to. they also look at your past performance:

things like:

why didn't you go to a better school?
where did u mess up that u had to go to st. james?

i'm not bashing here.........i'm simply trying to show people the reality and the consequences of going to 'alternate' methods...........let's face it.........if we all got into us medical schools..........obviously we'd be there.............foreign med schools and DO schools are alternatives to allopathic us medical schools..........

so like i said, i hope u score 100 on ur USMLE........but the fact is.........there will be hundreds more who do the same.....and on top of that........there is nothing more than a 99 on the score..........there is no 120 out of 100........so you can 'compete'.........but like i said.........you can't DO BETTER than anybody else who also scores a perfect.........and anyway..............TAKE THE USMLE's before u start making claims............and besides.........read my posts...........the world of MD's and medicine is a lot bigger than USMLE scores............

Yeah, it's funny that Sbturner says we are the ones who are all talk. Meanwhile he has thus far not achieved one single solitary thing to show that he can do any more than merely talk about being a doctor.

I go to a school that's not as good as big 3, but it does have some basic, minimum admission standards. As well as licensed grads and NY approval. Based on this, my own thinking is IF I complete the program and pass my Steps, it is reasonable to hope to enter a FP or IM residency.

Sb turner on the other hand, goes to a school with flat zero admission standards, no licensed grads or grads period for that matter, and no formal site-visit-certified approval from any state, yet considers himself qualified to boast about his future step scores. Whatever.......it's pretty obvious who is all talk.

Parth1983. Thank you. I get your point, and it is a good one. I wish you and everyone else out there the best as well. You are right as well in that I should wait for my scores. I just get sick of people thinking we are, somehow, less competent as students just becasue we chose to come to St. James. Like I said before, and for the last time, we have some very very good students here. I will be certain to post my marks when I get them. Best wishes to you!

No hard feelings Bob2k. The results will come out sooner or later, and we will see who was right. Personally, I like the idea of trying to become the best from a school that does not have what some of the more established schools have. If I can do this, it will prove that students can make it from the unestablished schools. I don't encourage it, but it can be done. Besides, give St. James some time. You never know what great things can come from here. Best wishes!

relax guys

a lot of you guys are in first year. you guys should relax about the USMLE for now, and concentrate on ur basic sciences and just try to do as well as you can. gearing up and talking about nailing the USMLE before you have even taken gross anatomy is nonsense. remember, ur USMLE is the culmination of everything you have learned in med school, not the other way around.
