i'm just a student looking for a medical school..........but seriously, sweetpea, why doesn't xavier have their own medical school forum? they just started out this past year!

st. james didn't get their own forum until after 2 or 3 years after they started out.

also, xavier also has 10 students in residency already. st. james does not....................

i mean, people might be going to st. james and i understand that they like their school or whatever, but seriously, st. james should definately have more grads in residency............and they should spend more money on their school building and their facilities.

xavier is obviously 'starting out' better than st. james...............and in a few years, there'll be real answers as to which school is doing better..........as of right now, they're basically the same, except xavier is obviously not 'pocketing' more of the tuition money than st. james. is. st. james appears to be a 'profit making' school.............and xavier definately seems to be spending more money on their students..........

and don't nobody ** about 'st. james this and that'.............even teh students who go to st. james should realize that if a school has been open for 4 years, they should definately not be shown up by a newer school such as xavier in terms of schools' building and facilities, and definatly HAVE MORE GRADS THAN XAVIER WHICH IS ONLY A YEAR OLD!!

HOW CAN XAVIER HAVE 10 GRADS IN RESIDENCY AND ST. JAMES IN 1??

i'm not endorsing any school..........but as a fair observer you have to look and ask questions.............and definately acknowledge when your school is deficient in something................obviously st. james has its pros and cons.......but the students going there should acknowledge its flaws as well...........it obviously ain't perfect.....

Dude, I know the faults of the school. I stated them many times in the past. YES, the school needs to invest more in the facilities sooner and faster. We have the cadavers, we are just trying to prepare the rooms for them because they are not up to standards. All classes are going to e old hospital building. There was some contract issues, they are ironed out now. Things are moving but slowly. I am not going to tell the minutes of every meeting that happens or information that gets passed on.

A school is not just nice buildings. In my first MD1 class we had several students leave after the first semester to St. Martinus and Xavier because of their nicer facilities. 2 semesters later, 3 of the 5 have come back from St. Martinus and from Xavier too. Why? because it ain't so great there. Those nice buildings didn't mean so much after they went and saw how they ran.

This topic is so ridiculous!!! Make your school one of the top 5 schools in the caribbean (Which XUSOM and SJSM are not), and then bash each other's school!!! No one cares about whose trying to run that crappy little island, if they are all focused on SGU, Ross, AUC, Saba, and SMU. People aren't even looking at bonaire's direction unless they fail to get accepted into one of the top 5 schools or even st.chris or MUA for that matter!!! Really guys get your name up before you bash each other's school, because this argment makes both schools look pathetic.
