Hey Guys, I got accepted to SJSM & Paid my deposit for January 2012..

Everyone joining that semester, let me know what you guys plan to do about everything pretty much, apartments, books, food, flights.. Anyone coming from Toronto??

Also what are you guys doing about loans/LOC's ??

Congrats Dr. Dreamz, I was just accepted a short time ago for the Bonaire Campus January 2012. I am from Ontario as well. What campus?

BTW Congrats to you too!! What ru doing for Loan/LOC? And what part of Ontario are you from?

I am not sure what I am doing about Loan/LOC... but I did my undergrad at Western, and am finishing a Masters currently... where did you go? Have you applied to other schools?

I am finishing up my last year at UOIT.. So you are doing masters? Wow.. Long Journey for you & loads of Debt..

I had applied to 2 other schools, however picked SJSM.. Despite rumors and stuff i heard good things from graduates of SJSM so that is more than enough to keep me happy..

Besides i believe in its HOW you study not WHERE you study that matters at the end..

But yah i have no idea what i am going to do about the Loan/LOC situation.. TD Declined me.. As expected..

Why do you say 'as expected'? Don't most of the Canadian banks give a LOC pretty easily for med school?

loans are easier when your are in canadian med school. but overseas can be a bit tough seeing that you might decide not to come back to canada. its all a security thing.

Yes, i say as expected because it is a security thing & TD is pretty anal and do not approve LOC's/Loans easily..

helpfuldoc how was MD1 from you? What did you do about housing and all? How is the island life like? Apart from studying when you get breaks whats there to do?
