Thread: Non-traditional students

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there are students in Bonaire with families. My fiance will be joining me and have several questions regarding immigration status as well as personal experience(s) on the island. I apologize in advance if a thread regarding this is already out there. I have tried several times in search of "non traditional"; however, nothing comes up. I was told it is very difficult bringing somebody along but not impossible. Any advice, comments, and info is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

There was a student in my class who brought her husband and two children along, so it is possible. However, she said dealing with immigration was a nightmare, and I don't doubt it. Hahaha I didn't get my immigration taken care of until my LAST semester, so it was a nightmare for me and I didn't even bring anyone. The people who work in the immigration office in Bonaire are a collection of the most unhappy people I have ever seen, thank god I don't have to deal with them again.

Thanks for the feedback Gru and COPTER. I wonder why it's such an ordeal bringing your family along. I plan on visiting the island soon, perhaps I can speak directly with immigration in Bonaire...
